Scholarship Resources

The Study Centers are a great place to go to get help with college applications, essays, and scholarships. They have computers, printers, scanners, and photocopiers as well as staff trained to assist you. Everyone is welcome!

The Portland Housing Authority Scholarship

Applications are due May 15th each year to PHA

NERC/NAHRO Allan R. Andrews Scholarship Program

Applications are typically due in early May each year

NAHRO National Merit Scholarship Program

Applications are typically due in spring each year

Maine Association of Public Housing Directors Scholarship 

Applications are typically due in April when available

Applications are made available to qualifying housing authorities each year and will be posted on this website. You can sign up for application notifications here. 

Housing Authority Insurance Group Resident Scholarship Program

Applications are typically due in April each year

PHADA Scholarship Program

Applications are due to Portland Housing Authority by the end of December each year

PHADA will proudly award three scholarships to deserving high school seniors residing in public and assisted housing (residents must live in PHADA member agencies, Portland Housing Authority is a member agency). You can access the material on their website
***Contact us (or call 207-221-8063) if you would like to apply. The number of applications is limited to two (2) for each Housing Authority. We will Choose two applications to support and provide the Executive Director's recommendation along with the application fee.
