Dear Residents,
We wanted to update you on the elevator down time last evening and today’s power loss.
The elevator was unrelated to the power restoration and would have been routine if we had both elevators fully operational. As you know, we undertook a pro-active elevator modernization that began this spring, and we are hoping to complete both cabs on or around the middle of October. We will keep you posted on that.
During the power restoration work from floors 7-16, a major breaker was tripped today as part of that effort. Although the outage was short, we are sorry for the inconvenience. We cannot rule out other short-term interruptions during the restoration process but will post notices in the elevator lobby if another short-term outage occurs again. The electrician is still hopeful for full restoration by the end of the week- we will keep you posted if there are any changes to that schedule.
